Saint Francis of Assisi School prides itself in educating our students in 21st Century Skills.   Our teaching goals are structured to help students develop the skills of Critical Thinking, Collaboration, Communication, and Creativity/Innovation.  These skills are also embedded within the national Common Core Curriculum State Standards.  SFA students are educated today to solve the problems of tomorrow!

At Saint Francis of Assisi School, students receive instruction according to the Archdiocese of Philadelphia’s Curriculum Guidelines.  Each classroom is equipped with an LCD Projector and SMARTBoard.  In addition, students have access to an updated Technology Lab (25 Dell OptiPlex Desktops with Windows 10 & Microsoft Office 2013), 42 Chrome Books on a mobile cart, & 50 iPads on a mobile cart to enhance 21st century learning.  Beginning in the 2017-2018 school year, students in 6th Grade, 7th Grade, & 8th Grade will receive their own school issued Chromebook for daily use in school and at home.  We are excited to begin this exciting 1:1 technology initiative!  In the 2011-2012 academic year, Saint Francis of Assisi School and the Archdiocese of Philadelphia adopted the new Common Core State Standards for English Language Arts (ELA) and Mathematics.  Students receive instruction in the following areas:
